CAPE CORAL CONSCIENCE

Our mission is to protect and promote democracy, first in Cape Coral, and then all over the United States.

Change our city for the better through referendums:

The citizens of Cape Coral are mad as hell at the corruption in city hall, and won’t take it anymore. However, all they can do is give 3 minute speeches at City Council meetings. We need to reduce the percentage of voter signatures required to put referendums on the ballot from 15 percent to 5 percent, because that is the first step towards letting citizens take back control of our city.

A referendum is a public vote on a specific issue.

Rescind City Council Stipends:

City Council disbanded 6 free citizen committees and doubled their salaries. Michael Thompson, Chairman of the Lee County GOP Executive Committee, talks about this issue at City Hall.

Reinstate Free Citizen Groups Disbanded by City Council:

The volunteer citizen groups provided expert advice city council members do not have, and gave Cape Coral Citizens a voice. The people of Cape Coral will suffer without the input of these citizen groups.

We’re Losing MANY City employees:

The quality of life is affected by the quality of a city’s employees.

Jaycee Park Contracts:

There are a lot of questions regarding the contracts and transparency involved with the redevelopment of Jaycee Park.

We’re conducting an investigation and we’re looking for people to help us analyze hundreds of documents, contracts, and architectural plans.

Cape coral is Sinking:

A lack of proper planning and excessive well drilling is putting Cape Coral at risk. Watch what they have to say.

Start City Council Meetings at 6 pm:

The City Council changed meeting times from 4:30 pm to 9:30 am because they don’t want you there. We believe the City Council meeting times should be changed to 6:00 pm so that more citizens can voice their opinion.

Protect Jaycee Park:

Any changes to Jaycee Park should be approved by public referendum before implementation. Especially when the changes are funded by taxpayers.

Filling In the canals

They are systematically filling canals for the benefit of businesses, such as car washes. Cape Coral was built on canals. Destroy the canals and you destroy Cape Coral.

JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP

Our Facebook group is where all our members can come together and share news and ideas. When the time comes for another referendum, we will all be there to support each other and be heard! This is an effort to protect democracy at the local level. A true democracy cannot exist if those who are elected turn their backs on the residents once they obtain office. This is why our group is so important!

we need help

We recognize that real change requires a collective effort of our community, which is why we are actively seeking volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. By working together, we can amplify our impact and effect lasting change.

We need over 3000 volunteers! If you don’t do it, who will? That’s why we need YOU.

THE TRANQUILITY BIKE

We Are looking for whistle blowers!

We believe the Mayor and City Council are doing a lot of shady things behind closed doors. So we’re looking for people who might know of anything the city is doing wrong. If you contact us we will keep it confidential.
